When turned on, it uses directional microphones to amplify safe ambient sounds up to 82dB, allowing important commands and environmental sounds to be heard while on the range or hunting. It also provides extra hearing protection by automatically stopping amplification when loud impulsive sounds, such as firearm discharges, exceed 82dB. The slim earcup design, thanks to Air Flow Control technology, ensures clearance for your firearm stock while shooting. The padded headband is adjustable for a comfortable fit, and an external audio jack allows for connection to a music device, scanner, or other audio source. The battery provides approximately 350 hours of usage, and the automatic shut-off feature activates after 4 hours to conserve battery life. Additionally, all Howard Leight electronic earmuffs and safety eyewear are compatible with each other.
