The Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight is proof that rugged performance doesn’t have to mean added weight. Winner of Blade Magazine’s 2010 Most Innovative American Design, this ultra-light EDC folder offers the same high-end mechanics and strength as the original G10 version—without the bulk.

At its core is Spyderco’s patented Ball Bearing Lock, a self-adjusting, ambidextrous locking mechanism built around a free-floating ball bearing encased in a polymer cage. The lock delivers smooth, secure blade action and eliminates the need for full steel liners—helping keep weight to just 2.85 oz (81 g).

The handle is made from EdgeTek FRCP (fiberglass-reinforced co-polymer) and features bi-directional texturing and molded jimping for a slip-resistant grip in all conditions. The 3.38" blade is precision flat-ground from Carpenter BD-1 stainless steel and features a non-reflective black DLC coating, providing a balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and stealth.

Additional touches like the oversized Spyderco Round Hole, ambidextrous wire pocket clip, and large lanyard hole round out a knife that’s built for real-world use.
