WKC British / Australian Pattern 1912 Cavalry Officer’s Sword

The British / Australian Pattern 1912 Cavalry Officer’s Sword is a traditional ceremonial sword used by cavalry and armoured officers and remains in ceremonial service today. This example is manufactured by WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co.) in Solingen, Germany, one of the world's historic centres of sword and blade manufacture.

In 2005, WKC acquired a significant part of the sword manufacturing equipment, tooling and components from Wilkinson Sword in London. This included the tooling used to manufacture the Pattern 1912 Cavalry Officer’s Sword, previously supplied by Wilkinson to the British Ministry of Defence.

Manufactured in Germany using traditional sword-making techniques, the WKC Pattern 1912 combines a hand-forged blade with an intricately detailed guard, genuine ray skin grip and traditional wire binding.

The sword is available with a choice of CIIIR (King Charles III) or EIIR (Queen Elizabeth II) Royal Cypher and is supplied with a traditional black leather scabbard.
